LEINEWEBER TIED FOR 2ND AT C&F BANK INTERCOLLEGIATE


INDIVIDUAL/TEAM LEADERBOARD

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. –
Paced by Megan Leineweber's (Salisbury, Md. / Parkside) even-par 72, the Radford women's golf team sits ninth following the opening round of the 2010 C&F Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary.

The 36-hole/21-team event is being played on the Par 72, 6,043-yard Ford's Colony Country Club layout.

Leineweber, who leads the Highlanders in stroke average this season, is currently tied for second out of 112 competitors.

Old Dominion's Samantha Morrell carded the only sub-par round Saturday and will enter the final 18 holes three strokes clear of Leineweber and Eunice Yim of Boston College.

St. John's holds the top spot in the team standings after shooting 307.

As a team, the Highlanders recorded a 324 and are just 13 strokes out of the top five.

Radford's Hannah Coles and Amy McCollum both opened with 83, while Jade Okamoto and Maggie Watts are tied for 65th and 76th, respectively.

The second and final round will begin Sunday morning.
