WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Highlighted by
Megan Leineweber's (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) second Top-3 finish of the season, the Radford women's golf team placed ninth out of 21 teams Sunday at the 2010 C&F Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary.
The 36-hole/112-competitor event was played on the Par 72, 6,043-yard Ford's Colony Country Club layout.
After opening with an even-par 72, Leineweber carded a final round 75 to conclude the two-day event at three-over 147, one stroke behind individual medalist Kameron Carter (73-73=146) of Longwood.
As a team, the Highlanders bettered Saturday's total by a stroke to conclude the event at 637 (324-323).
Radford will enjoy an eight-day break before continuing its spring campaign at the Hoya Invitational March 29-30.
