LEWISBURG, Pa. – Freshman
Paige Reese (South Hill, Va. / Park View) led the way with a tie for 12th showing as the Radford women's golf team concluded their fall opener with a sixth place finish out of 17 teams at the 2010 Bucknell Invitational Sunday.
The two-day tournament was played on the Par 70, 6,006-yard Bucknell Golf Club layout.
Making her collegiate debut, Reese finished with a 54-hole total of 230 (76-76-78), while junior
Jade Okamoto (Huntington Beach, Calif. / Marina) also concluded the 10th annual event with a Top-15 finish.
Hannah Coles (Birmingham, England / The Coleshill School) carded a final round 79 to come home tied for 28th out of 90 competitors, while freshman
Kirsty Condon (Lincolnshire, England / Kesteven and Sleaford) and junior
Amy McCollum (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford) finished tied for 41st and 51st, respectively.
Playing on its home course, Bucknell claimed the team title with a school record 296 in its final round, while the Bison's Katie Jurenovich won the individual crown.
Radford will continue its five-tournament fall schedule at the Great Smokies Intercollegiate hosted by Western Carolina Sept. 18-19 in Waynesville, N.C.
