DAVIDSON, N.C –
Petra Dajevic and
Mia Drobnjak picked up singles victories as the Radford women's tennis team fell to Davidson, 5-2, at the Covington Tennis Courts Saturday afternoon.
The Highlanders fall to 0-2, while the Wildcats improve to 2-1.
The Highlanders were unable to take advantage of the doubles portion, dropping two of three matches, which put them behind, 1-0.
Radford's duo of Drobnjak and
Sara Tegner won their second straight doubles match as they easily defeated Samantha Galainena and Frizzi Bschorer, 8-3.
In singles action, Dajevic recorded the first point for Radford when she defeated Stephani Synn, 6-3, 6-4. Drobnjak followed behind her with a straight-set win over Nisha Crouser, 6-0, 6-4.
Radford will return to the court Saturday Feb. 12 at 1 p.m. to take on Elon.
