RADFORD, Va. - Radford Field Hockey welcomes Longwood on Sunday for a key NorPac East Division matchup at 2 p.m. from RU Hockey Field. It will be the final home contest for Radford's senior class.
Coming off a thrilling come-from-behind, 5-3 victory over Davidson on Friday night, the Highlanders (7-7, 2-2 NorPac East) evened their overall and conference records and are sitting a half-game behind the Lancers (8-8, 2-1).
On Friday night, senior
Marlee Schramm (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) scored two goals during a four-goal outburst that erased a 3-1 deficit and lifted Radford to the win.
Along with Schramm, seniors
Courtney Poole (Gloucester, Va./Gloucester),
Melissa Register (Culpeper, Va./Culpeper County) and
Lynsey Daughtrey (Suffolk, Va./Lakeland) scored for the Highlanders. Daughtrey also dished out a pair of assists.
