RESULTS

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – After two weeks away from competition, the Radford women's tennis team returned to the courts this past weekend at the 2011 Wake Forest Invitational.
 
15 other teams joined the Highlanders at the event, including Wake Forest, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Missouri, West Virginia, VCU and 2011 Big South Champion Winthrop.
 
In addition to each of its singles players recording wins in their respective flights, Radford's freshman duo of Hannah Crawford (Winchester, Hampshire UK / Kings School) and Meg Napolitano (Charlottesville, Va. / Albemarle) finished seventh in the “B” Doubles Flight.
 
Crawford and Napolitano's weekend was highlighted by a doubles' victory over Missouri's tandem of Clark and Stuhlmann in the opening round.
 
Radford will enjoy a few weeks off before returning to action at the ITA Regional Oct. 21-25 in Norfolk, Va.
