MIMS, Fla. – Jade Okamoto finished fifth individually as the Radford women's golf team concluded their “Spring Break” trip with a Top-5 showing placing fourth at the 2011 Sunshine Spring Classic hosted by Detroit Mercy Saturday.

The 16-team / 96-competitor event was being played on the Par 72, 6,038-yard Walkabout Golf and Country Club layout.

Okamoto carded a 80 this afternoon to record her first Top-5 finish of her career.

In addition to Okamoto, freshman Paige Reese tied for 17th after firing a two-day total of (84-82 = 166).

Hannah Coles and Kirsty Condon also competed for the Highlanders shooting scores of 170 and 172, respectively, while Amy McCollum finished with a 189.

The Highlanders will return to action March 20 in the Low Country Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, S.C.
