ORLANDO, Fla. – For the first time this season, the Radford women's tennis swept the doubles portion to defeat North Dakota, 4-3, Saturday afternoon to conclude their “Spring Break” trip.

Radford's top duo of Petra Dajevic and Mia Drobnjak recorded their second straight doubles victory, while Sara Tegner and Emerald Lauzon tallied their first victory on the season as a team.

As Radford took the lead, 1-0, North Dakota quickly tied the score with a win on court six by Chelsey Galipon over Lauzon, 6-3, 6-1.

Both Dajevic and Ivana Tomaic recorded straight-set wins at the No. 1 and 3 spots, respectively, to give Radford the lead, 3-1.

Shortly after, Mirna Matic secured the victory with a win over Hallie Welk on court four, 6-1, 7-5.

The Highlanders will return to action Monday March 14 for their home opener against Howard at 2:30 p.m.
