ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Petra Dajevic recorded her third-straight victory and clinched the match at the top spot as the Radford women's tennis team defeated conference-foe UNC Asheville, 4-3, Saturday afternoon at the Crowne Plaza Tennis Center.

The win improves the Highlanders to 3-8 on the season and 1-1 in the conference, while the Bulldogs fall to 5-7 overall and 0-1 in the Big South.

In the final match of the contest, Radford's Dajevic defeated Britney Cloer, 6-1, 6-7, 6-2, to secure the victory for Radford as she improved her winning streak to three at the top spot.

After Radford claimed the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and 3 spots, Asheville tied the score when Devon Cavanaugh defeated Mirna Matic on court four.

Down two, Mia Drobnjak and Emerald Lauzon recorded their first victories on the season on courts two and six, respectively, to tie the score 3-3.

The Highlanders will return home Sunday for a 1 p.m. match against Charleston Southern.
