RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's tennis team fell to Charleston Southern, 4-3, Sunday afternoon at the RU Tennis Courts.

The loss drops the Highlanders to 3-9 on the season and 1-2 in the conference, while the Buccaneers improve to 4-5 overall and 2-1 in the Big South.

After sweeping the doubles portion, Charleston Southern recorded wins on courts four, one, and six to secure the victory.

With the match already decided, Radford's Sara Tegner responded with a straight-set win over Angie Torres, 6-4, 6-3 to put the Highlanders on the board.

Shortly after, Mia Drobnjak recorded her second-straight victory at the No. 2 position over Marija Dzakovic, 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (4).

Senior Ivana Tomaic charted her sixth win on the season when she defeated Brooke Pletcher, 1-6, 6-2, 1-0 (4) on court three.

The Highlanders will return to the court Tuesday to take on conference-rival Liberty at 2 p.m.
