Radford begins a six-game road swing on Tuesday and looks to extend a six-game win streak when the Highlanders travel to East Tennessee State for a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m.
Coming off of a series sweep of Cornell, the Highlanders will play on the road for the first time since March 9 – Radford began its season playing 12 straight away from home, going 6-6 over that stretch of games.
The Highlanders and Buccaneers will meet for their traditional two games in a series that was continuous from 1989-2001 and has regained that status since 2008.
ETSU leads the series 18-13 – last year, the Buccaneers won 22-10 at home on March 24, while Radford took a 9-8 win at home on April 27.
The series, which is typically a home-and-home set, will be played in its entirety with this Tuesday doubleheader at Cardinal Park. Radford was originally scheduled to host ETSU last Tuesday.
ETSU (12-4) is 8-2 in its last 10 games. The Buccaneers dropped two of three in an Atlantic Sun conference home series over the weekend against Jacksonville – ETSU salvaged the series with a 10-8 win over the Dolphins in the finale.
