PROBABLE STARTING PITCHERS:
RU RHP Michael Costello vs. VT RHP Patrick Scoggin

After taking two of three games from VMI to open RU Baseball Stadium, the Highlanders continue their eight-game homestand by hosting Virginia Tech on Wednesday night at 6 p.m.

The Highlanders (18-13) and Hokies (17-17) will meet for the second time in their home-and-home series – on March 29, Radford scored four runs with two outs, and Robert Lamas gave the Highlanders a lead they didn't give up with his two-run double in the fifth inning en route to a 7-5 win at English Field.

The win was the first for the Highlanders in the series since April 20, 2004 and the first victory at English Field since March 9, 2000.

Lamas went 2-for-4, Matt Mack was 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs and Jeff Kemp was 1-for-3, scoring twice with two stolen bases. Tech was led by Andrew Rash's 2-for-4 game and a fourth inning leadoff homer to bring the Hokies within a run, at 3-2. Righty Patrick Scoggin, who gets the ball for Tech on Tuesday, took the loss (1-1), unable to escape the fifth after allowing the two-out, two-run double to Lamas.

Radford freshman righty Michael Costello will make his second career start – he earned a win in his first collegiate start as part of a staff effort in the second game of a doubleheader at ETSU on March 22.
