GREENWOOD, S.C. – For the second consecutive season, Hannah Coles of the Radford women's golf team has been named to the Big South All-Conference team, while teammate Jade Okamoto earned a spot on the all-academic squad, as announced by the conference office Monday night.

“I'm extremely proud of Jade and Hannah,” commented third-year head coach Jeff Beeler. “For Hannah to be voted onto to the all-conference team for the second time in her career put's her alongside the best to compete for Radford.”

Coles has participated in 16 rounds this season while putting together a 78.4 stroke average. In the Great Smokies Women's Intercollegiate she recorded a season-low 70 to finish tied for second and help Radford to a second-place showing. For her performance she earned her first Big South Golfer of the Week honor.

In the Wendy's Invitational, Coles carded a four-over 75 to record her third Top-5 finish of the season.

“Jade has been an outstanding student and leader on the golf course for us since arriving on campus three years ago.”

As social science major, Okamoto maintains a 3.47 overall GPA while serving as the Vice President of the FCA. A two-time selection to the Big South honor roll, Okamoto is a representative for the SAAC and also a member of the Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship Fraternity.

This season Okamoto has participated in 16 rounds with a stroke average of 77.7. She posted a runner-up finish at the Winthrop Intercollegiate with a 6-over par 150 (73-77) to help Radford capture its second team title in school history. She matched her career-low with a 73 in the first round, while her second-place finish is a personal-best.

The Big South announced half of its All-Conference honorees at the banquet and the five remaining All-Conference members (and any additional ties) will be determined by their finish in the Championship and not among those already announced.
