ROCK HILL, S.C. – Petra Dajevic of the Radford women's tennis team has been named to the 2011 Big South All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office Wednesday night.

“Petra being recognized by the Big South on the All-Academic team is a great honor,” commented head coach Bruce Harrison. “She has been a great student-athlete here at Radford and I know she will continue to be.”

A psychology major with an overall GPA of 3.84, Dajevic posted a singles record of 9-10 at the top spot for the Highlanders, while going 2-5 in the Big South. In doubles competition, her and partner Mia Drobnjak led the squad with eight wins and just five losses on court one, including a convincing 8-1 win over Gardner-Webb's top duo.

The sixth-seeded Highlanders will open the 2011 Big South Women's Tennis Championship with a 12 p.m. quarterfinal dual against No. 3 Liberty Thursday on the campus of Winthrop University.
