RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's tennis team, who is seeded sixth, is set to take on No. 3 Liberty in the 2011 Big South Championships hosted by Winthrop on Thursday at 12 p.m.
The winner of Thursday's match will advance to face the frontrunner of the contest between No. 2 Coastal Carolina and No. 7 UNC Asheville.
The Highlanders finished the season with a 6-14 mark and a 2-5 record in the League with victories over UNC Asheville and Presbyterian.
The 2011 Big South Women's Tennis Championship begins Thursday, April 21 with three matches, and concludes with the Championship game on Saturday, April 23 in Rock Hill, S.C. The Big South's tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Tennis Tournament. The Conference Championship schedule is as follows:
