RADFORD, Va. – For the second consecutive match, Ivana Tomaic clinched the match for the Radford women's tennis team as they rallied past Presbyterian, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon at the RU Tennis Courts.

With the win the Highlanders improve to 5-9 overall and 2-2 in the league, while the Blue Hose fall to 8-11 and 0-4 in the Big South.

In the final contest, Tomaic defeated Courtney Gardiner 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 to give Radford the win at the No. 3 spot.

Presbyterian came out with an early lead as it took two of the three doubles matches, while Radford's top duo of Mia Drobnjak and Petra Dajevic recorded the lone win for the Highlanders.

In singles competition, Lindsay Krause recorded a straight-set win on court six to give the Blue Hose the 2-0 advantage.

At the top spot, Dajevic put Radford on the board as she defeated Paige Oelke, 6-3, 6-3.

With Presbyterian up 3-1, Mirna Matic tallied a straight-set victory over Patricia Alves, 6-2, 7-5 on court four, shortly after Sara Tegner defeated Cara Caruso 6-4, 7-5, to tie the match 3-3.

The Highlanders be back in action Wednesday to take on Liberty at 2 p.m. at the RU Tennis Courts.
