DOUBLES POINT LIFTS ETSU OVER WOMEN’S TENNIS, 4-3

BRISTOL, Tenn. – In a match where four of the six singles matches went the distance, the doubles point proved to be the difference as East Tennessee State edged Radford, 4-3, in non-conference women's tennis action Saturday evening.

In addition to the tightly contested singles portion, two of the three doubles contests were decided by tiebreakers, as ETSU (1-0) won all three matches.

The Highlanders' singles victories came from
Mia Drobnjak (6-3, 6-7, 4-6), Gemma Valls (1-6, 6-2, 10-6) and Meg Napolitano, who improved to 3-0 on the spring with a 2-6, 6-3, 10-6 win over Jessica Brumit on court six.

Radford (1-2) returns to the courts on Feb. 5 at UMBC.
