FIELD HOCKEY DEFEATED AT LIBERTY

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty scored two goals in each half and defeated Radford Field Hockey, 4-0, in a NorPac East matchup on a chilly Friday evening from LU Field Hockey Field.

Helen Doolittle scored 3:56 into the match on a corner to give the Lady Flames and early 1-0 lead. Sarah Gipe made it 2-0 just minutes before the break.

The Lady Flames (9-5, 2-1 NorPac East) added two goals in the final nine minutes to cap off the scoring for the evening.

Five different Highlanders (1-12, 1-3) charted a shot with three of them on goal Junior Sidney Encarnacion (Williamsburg, Va./Walsingham Academy) made six saves. Mallory Cucccio stopped two shots to earn the shutout.

Radford returns home on Sunday for a 2:00 p.m. contest against Appalachian State.
