FIELD HOCKEY HOSTS MOUNTAINEERS IN HOME FINALE ON SUNDAY

Radford wraps up its home slate, hosting Appalachian State in a key NorPac match on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. The Highlanders sit in fourth place holding a one game lead in the win column and with a victory could secure a spot in the NorPac tournament heading into the final week of the season.

A LOOK AT RU: Radford is coming off a tough 4-0 defeat at No. 25 Wake Forest on Wednesday... The Highlanders are looking to snap a six-match slide this afternoon... Stacey Mackintosh leads Radford with five goals and 11 points... Jana Bayer has added three goals with Paige Doughty and Marianna Parker chipping in with two apiece... Alayna Versage has dished out a team-best three assists and Ashton Cox has recorded two helpers.


A LOOK AT APPALACHIAN STATE: The Mountaineers are coming off a road defeat at Liberty on Friday night and are currently a game behind the Highlanders in the standings... Casey Lammando and Dana Wetmore have each tallied a team-best five goals... Lammando has also dished out a team-best five assists for 15 points.

LAST MEETING / SERIES: Radford earned a 3-2 double overtime win in Boone on Sept. 30. The Highlanders rallied from a 2-0 first half deficit and Stacey Mackintosh scored with just over two minutes left before a shootout...  RU leads the series 35-11 overall and 17-1 at home... ASU won last year's contest at RU Hockey Field, 3-2.

UP NEXT: Radford wraps up its regular season with three road contests next week. The Highlanders face off against NorPac foes Longwood and Davidson, before closing out with current No. 1 North Carolina.
