MEET RESULTS

LYNCHBURG, Va.
The Radford track and field squads opened the indoor season with a strong showing at the Liberty Kickoff, led by Courtni Pannell and Chris Weeks winning the women's 60m hurdles and the men's one-mile, respectively, Saturday at Tolsma Indoor Track Center on the campus of Liberty University.

Pannell posted a 8.72 mark in the 60m hurdles, which bested runner-up Shamia Lassiter's 8.76 mark and is her third title in this event in the last two seasons. Her 8.72 ledger ties for the third-best mark in program history, which she set at the VT Challenge last February.

Radford had three Top-20 showings on the men's side in the 400m dash, led by David Green's 52.05. Eric Graves (52.61) and Jake Zimmerman (53.06) finished 11th and 15th, respectively.

Maggie Wissler (2:28.13), Katie Hickey (2:38.61) and Alyssa Walker (2:38.71) gave the Highlanders three Top-20 performers in the women's 800m, while Wissler (5:29.75), Teresa Williamson (5:35.73) and Sabrina Romano (5:40.73) posted Top-10 showings in the one-mile.

In the jumps, Jessica Barron tied for fifth in the high jump (1.48m / 4-10.25), while Devon Drake tied for 13th on the men's side with a mark of 1.74m / 5-8.50. Kaleice Green (5.44m / 17-10.25) and Wilson (5.39m / 17-8.25) finished third and fourth, respectively, in the long jump. Jamiecka Baker leaped 11.38m / 37-4.00 for a fifth-place showing in the triple jump.
