WOMEN’S TENNIS RUNS STREAK TO FIVE; HOLDS OFF GARDNER-WEBB, 4-3

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Three freshmen victories and the doubles point proved to be the difference as Radford won its fifth straight with a 4-3 victory over Gardner-Webb in Big South women's tennis action Sunday afternoon at the Webb Tennis Complex.

The Highlanders improve to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in the league, while the Runnin' Bulldogs fall to 3-4 and 1-1.

Tied 3-3, Radford's Taylor Newman rallied from a 4-1 deficit in the third set to hold off Ronia Hutterli, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 to clinch the winning point.
