OKAMOTO, AUSTIN LEAD RADFORD IN CONCLUSION OF JMU EAGLE LANDING INVITE

FINAL RESULTS

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – 
Jade Okamoto carded a three-over 75 in the final round and Alexandra Austin finished in a tie for 27th place in the conclusion of the JMU Eagle Landing Invite Sunday afternoon.
 
Austin wrapped up the event in 27th place out of 100 players due to a six-over 78 afternoon.  Austin charted her only birdie on the second hole.  She would go to record a three-day score of 227 (+11), seven strokes out of the Top-10. 
 
After a three-over tally on the front nine, Okamoto returned to shoot even par over the back nine, including a birdie on the par-4 13th to post Radford's best score of the day.  She would go on to jump an additional 12 positions up the leaderboard and finish in a tie for 47th with a 232.  Overall, she moved up 26 positions from her first day ranking.
 
Kirsty Condon tied Okamoto for the Highlanders' best round of the day with her 75.  Condon was the in the red over the back nine, collecting two birdies on 11 and 18 and penciled in seven pars.  She charted a total of 240 in the event.
 
Paige Reese recorded the third score for Radford with a 238 and finished in a tie for 69th.
 
The Highlanders (311-315-311) garnered a 17th-place showing with a 937 total.
 
Radford competed on the Eagle Landing Course, setup as a par-72 layout and spread out over 6,300 yards.
 
18 total teams were in the field, including Chattanooga, East Carolina, East Tennessee State, Illinois,
Illinois State, Maryland, Morehead State and South Florida, who all competed in the 2011 NCAA Regional or had an individual participant.
 
Kaylin Yost of Campbell grabbed individual medalist honors at one-under 215 and South Florida won the team crown at 883.
 
The Highlanders return to the course March 18-20 when they compete in the C&F Bank Intercollegiate.  The event will be held at the Kingsmill River Course in Williamsburg, Va.
