FIELD HOCKEY AND EIGHT HIGHLANDERS RECOGNIZED FOR ACADEMICS

RADFORD, Va. – Eight field hockey student-athletes were named to the Gladiator by SGI / NFHCA National Academic squad for maintaining a 3.3 GPA or higher during the 2011 semester. The Highlanders also posted a GPA of 3.0 or higher and earned the National Academic Team award.

Lynsey Daughtrey (Suffolk, Va./Lakeland), Jennifer Hedrick, Caroline Hollerbach , Kellen Keys, Amy Kinkler, Melissa Register, Alayna Versage, Madonna Wadolowski were honored for their academic success.

Seniors Daughtrey and Register have earned this accolade for all four years, Hollerbach has received the honor the past three years, Versage has garnered it twice, with Hedrick, Keyes, and Kinkler earning their first distinction.
