WOMEN’S TENNIS SUFFERS 6-1 SETBACK AT COASTAL CAROLINA

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina ended Radford's five-match winning streak with a 6-1 victory over the Highlanders in Big South women's tennis action Friday afternoon at the Billy Nichols Tennis Center.
 
The loss drops Radford to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in the league, while CCU remains unbeaten improving to 6-0 and 2-0.
 
In addition to the doubles point, the Chanticleers won five of the six singles contests, including four in straight sets.
 
The Highlanders lone wins came from their No. 3 doubles team and freshman Meg Napolitano, who improved to 7-2 on the spring with a three-set win over Kourtney Kowal, 6-3, 6-7, 10-7.
 
Radford returns to the courts tomorrow with an 11 a.m. match at Charleston Southern.
