RESULTS
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Radford track and field teams had an individual title and a number of top finishes in a weather-shortened Weems Baskin Invitational Saturday afternoon hosted by South Carolina.
Vincent Wyatt is quickly filling up Radford's all-time Top-10 in the 110m hurdles through only two meets. He posted his second consecutive outdoor victory among the collegiate ranks with the program's second fastest time, 14.22.
In the 400m hurdles,
Brett Olinger finished runner-up with a time of 53.52.
David Green also finished in the Top-10 with his time of 57.62.
The men's 4x100m relay team finished in the Top-5 for the second straight meet. The team consisting of Olinger, Wyatt,
Joseph Betts and
Allen Dooms posted a 41.87.
Highlighting women's throws was
Aimee Veatch. Veatch tossed 50.03m / 164-02 in the hammer throw and took home fifth place.
Sprints
Kaise White placed fourth in the men's 400m with a time of 49.06.
Tehquin Warrick finished right behind White in seventh at 49.12.
Dooms crossed the line in sixth place in the 100m dash. He recorded a 10.73, the seventh fastest time in program history. Betts took 15th in the same event with his 10.97.
Clocking a 12.34,
Lakei Crews earned 16th place in the 100m.
Kayla Christian was steps behind Crews at 12.40 and finished 19th.
In the 800m,
Eric Graves had another solid showing and ran a time of 1:57.07 to finish eighth overall.
Eric Graves posted a 13th place showing in the same event, crossing at 1:59.09. On the women's side,
Shalonda Mitchell earned a 2:21.39 and placed 15th overall.
Jumps
Travis Hudson recorded a 2.00m / 6-06.75 mark in the high jump and posted a fourth-place performance. In the women's high jump,
Nikki Roseberry tied for seventh when she cleared the high jump bar at 1.60m / 5-03.00.
In his first outdoor long jump event,
Chris Henry turned in an 11th place showing with a leap of 6.62m / 21-08.75. Finishing fifth on the women's side was Christian, who tied for the 10th best jump in program history at 5.43m / 17-09.75.
Pole Vault
Lindsey Noe had her best pole vault showing since 2009 with a 3.05m / 10-00.00 clearance. She finished 12th in the event.
Josiah Brunson finished 10th in the men's pole vault at an outdoor personal-best 3.80m / 12-05.50 height.
Distance
Sam Keltner had an impressive showing in the 3000m steeplechase. He finished ninth overall by clocking a 10:40.88.
