WOMEN’S GOLF ANNOUNCES ADDITION OF PARROTT FOR UPCOMING 2012-13 SEASON

RADFORD, Va. – Radford head women's golf coach Jeff Beeler announced Tuesday the signing of Katie Parrott (Brentwood, Tenn./Ravenwood) for the upcoming 2012-13 season.

“Katie has a ton of tournament experience and I'm excited to have her join us in the fall. She comes from a great family and is an excellent student,” stated Beeler.

As a senior captain at Ravenwood High School, Parrott earned regional medalist honors for the second straight year and finished third in the TGA Championship. She also placed sixth in the Chateau Elan (78-72, 150).

Parrott led her squad to two consecutive team runner-up showings at the state tournament in 2010 and 2011.

In her first two years at Ravenwood, Parrott qualified for the state tournament as a freshman and went on to win the TGA Junior Tour in her sophomore year.

Parrott plans to enroll in the pre-nursing program at Radford in the fall.
