CAMPBELL WINS SERIES FINALE 1-0, SWEEPS BASEBALL

BOX SCORE  BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell left-handed starter Hector Cedano limited Radford to three hits over 8 1/3 innings and the Camels earned a series sweep with a 1-0 win in the second doubleheader game on Saturday afternoon.

Mark Peterson surrendered just one run over 6 1/3 innings, but took the hard-luck loss (4-2) for the Highlanders (26-24-1, 11-10 Big South).

Brett Mollenhauer had one of the three hits for the Highlanders, running his hitting streak to 14 straight.

Michael Felton had his second four-hit game of the series for the Fighting Camels (38-15, 13-8), going 4-for-4.  He scored the only run of the game on David Olson's ground out RBI in the fourth inning.

Cedano walked five batters in his start, including three in the top of the ninth inning to load the bases for Radford, giving the Highlanders their best scoring chance of the game.  Ryan Mattes came into the game to retire the final two batters to earn his third save (9) in as many chances in the series.

Radford returns to action on Tuesday with a 6 p.m. game in Beckley, W.Va. against Marshall.
