HIGHLANDERS DEFEATED BY WILLIAM & MARY

BOX SCORE WILLIAMSBURG, Va.Sidney Encarnacion tied a career-high with 13 saves, but William & Mary scored three first half goals and defeated Radford, 4-0 on Friday evening from Busch Field.
 
Encarnacion's matched the output she produced in the season-opener against Central Michigan. The Highlanders (0-4) also registered three defensive saves, courtesy of sophomores Jordan Vrhovac, Jennifer Hedrick and Amy Kinkler.

Ashley Kyle put the Tribe (5-0) on the board in the 18th minute and they would quickly take a 2-0 lead on Emma Clifton's tally. Allison Moran closed out the first half scoring in the 31st minute. Pip Saunders added a late goal with just under two minutes to play to finalize the scoring for the evening.

Freshman Stacey Mackintosh registered two of Radford's three shots, while sophomore Sydney Myrdal charted the other.
 
William & Mary's Elizabeth Frey turned away two Highlanders shots on goal in the first half to earn the shutout.
 
Radford heads over to No. 5 Old Dominion for a Sunday matchup with the Monarchs at 1 p.m.
