FIELD HOCKEY FALLS AT NO. 14 WAKE FOREST

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest score three goals in each half as Radford dropped its final non-conference contest of the season to the 14th-ranked Demon Deacons, 6-0 on Wednesday evening.
 
Senior keeper Sidney Encarnacion made 12 saves (4-11) and junior Kellen Keys recorded a pair of shots for the Highlanders. Taylor Rhea powered the Wake Forest offense with a hat trick and Jess McFayden dished out two assists.
 
Rhea gave the Demon Deacons the early 1-0 lead in the second minute and doubled their lead in the 19th. Wake pushed across a third goal six minutes before halftime for the 3-0 advantage. Rhea completed her hat trick with a goal 2:48 into the second half.
 
Wake Forest added two late goals to close out the scoring.
 
Radford begins its final stretch of NorPac play on Sunday, Oct. 20 when it travels to Longwood for a 1:00 p.m. contest against the Lancers.
