WYATT ADDS ANOTHER TOP-10 TIME, FINISHES RUNNER-UP AT VT ELITE MEET

RESULTS

BLACKSBURG, Va.
Now holding all 10 of the top-10 times in program history for the men's 60-meter hurdles, Vincent Wyatt posted his third straight runner-up finish at the Doc Hale VT Elite Meet Friday evening inside Rector Field House on the campus of Virginia Tech.

The sophomore ran an 8:07 in the preliminary round to finish third and qualify for the finals. Wyatt would duel with Florida's Eddie Lovett, who ran the second-fastest time in the nation for the 60-meter hurdles earlier this season at 7.65.

In the finals, Lovett was able to cross the line in 7.66, while Wyatt was clocked at 7.92—the fourth-best time in Radford men's track and field history. Through four meets of the indoor season, Wyatt has won one title and finished runner-up in the other three outings (all in the 60-meter hurdles).

Wyatt and the rest of the Highlanders return to the track next week when the Highlanders compete at the VT Challenge, Feb. 15-16, at Rector Field House in Blacksburg, Va.
