RESULTS
RADFORD, Va. – The Radford University track and field team participated in its final warm-up before the Big South Championship meet next week. The Highlanders earned seven top-10 finishes at the Carolina's Cup hosted by Winthrop University.
Freshman
Devon Drake took home first place in the high jump after a height of 1.80m. Drake also had a personal-record time of 15.90 seconds in the 110m hurdles while placing sixth.
Junior
Phillip Hovatter recorded three personal-records on the day that also included three top-10 finishes. He took eight in the 110m hurdles with a time of 16.03 seconds, ninth in the shot put with a distance of 11.50m and tenth in the discus throw with a toss of 37.53m.
Senior
Antonio Miller added a fourth place in the triple jump with a distance of 11.47m.
Junior
Eric Graves took seventh in the 800m run after clocking in at 2:00.88.
RU track and field returns to action Thursday – Saturday, April 18-20th as they head to Liberty University for the Big South Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
