NINETY SIX, S.C. –
Sparked by Hayley Hammond's 2-over-par 74, Radford logged a 316 and is seventh following Monday's second round of the Big South Women's Golf Championship held at The Patriot Club (par 72, 6,083 yards).

“I feel like after the last two days we are a couple holes from being where we want to be,” head coach Jeff Beeler said. “We have one more day to move up and play like we are capable of.”

Adding her first-round 79, Hammond is tied for 12th at 153 through 36 holes of play. Two shots ahead of the redshirt junior is Alexandra Austin, who has a 151 and is tied for eighth. Despite a rough start on her opening three holes, the sophomore rallied to play her final 15 holes in 1-under-par to shoot a 6-over-par 78.

Tied for 33rd is junior Kirsty Condon, who posted a 36-hole scorecard of 162 (78-84). Three strokes behind her fellow classmate is Paige Reese, who is in 40th place after shaving five shots off her opening round to record a 165 (85-80). Freshman Katie Parrott is 45th after posting a 170 (86-84).

39th-ranked Coastal Carolina maintained its first-round lead by one shot, as the Chanticleers are at 588 (292-296) entering the final round. Defending champion and 34th-ranked Campbell made a charge on day two as the Camels recorded the best round of the day (292) to tally a 589 through 36 holes.

Gardner-Webb (616) is third, followed by Charleston Southern (620) and Longwood (621). In sixth place is High Point (628), three shots clear of the Highlanders. Presbyterian College (635) is eighth and Winthrop rounds out the nine-team field at 636.

Coastal Carolina's 64th-ranked Brittany Henderson and Lena Schaeffner are tied atop the individual standings at even-par 144 with 18 holes to go. Campbell's Lisbeth Brooks and Tahnia Ravnjak lurk two shots back at 146.

The final round of the Big South Women's Golf Championship gets underway at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday for the Highlanders. Radford is paired with PC and Winthrop. Live scoring is available through Golfstat by clicking here.
