WYATT ADDS TOP-10 TIME IN 110m HURDLES AT GEORGIA TECH

RESULTS

ATLANTA, Ga. – Sophomores Vincent Wyatt and Joseph Betts of the Radford track and field team finished up at the final day of the Georgia Tech Invitational Saturday. Wyatt earned a top-10 finish in the 110m hurdle finals today.

“We can't seem to catch a break with the weather this season,” said assistant track and field coach Mark White, who oversees RU sprints and hurdles. “It feels like we have run in the rain all year. I feel like Joseph and Vincent are ready for the first round [NCAA East Regional's]. We just need to work on some little things at this point.”

Sophomore Vincent Wyatt brought home a second place finish in the 110m hurdles after clocking 14.11 seconds. That time is the eighth fastest in the program's history. He earned a spot in the finals after running 13.99 seconds in the preliminaries yesterday.

Classmate Joseph Betts added a time of 21.61 seconds in the 200m dash while finishing 20th out of 53 competitors.

RU track and field returns to action Thursday – Friday, May 23rd – 24th as they travel to Greensboro, N.C. for the NCAA East Regional's.
