OLIVIA JAY SIGNS WITH WOMEN’S GOLF

RADFORD, Va. – Jeff Beeler, head coach of the Radford women's golf team, announced the signing of Olivia Jay to a national letter of intent Tuesday afternoon.

With the addition of Jay, Radford will have seven golfers on its roster for the 2013-14 season. In addition, Beeler continues his success of luring international student-athletes to the New River Valley.

"We're excited to have Olivia join us this fall," Beeler said. "I know she's been preparing over the last year extremely hard [at the Lee Westwood Golf Academy]. She's a great addition to our program."

In addition to winning her golf club's ladies championship in 2012 and 2013, Jay fired a 77 in the Yorkshire County U-18 Girls Championship to finish second.

Jay and the rest of the Highlanders open their fall campaign at the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa. The two-day, 54-hole tournament is contested at the Bucknell University Golf Club.
