Radford begins a three-game Big South road swing on Wednesday, Oct. 8 when it travels to Lynchburg for an in-state clash with Liberty. The teams are tied for first place (10 points) and are riding identical six-game undefeated streaks (5-0-1) into this rematch of last year's Big South Championship. Kickoff between the Highlanders (6-4-2, 3-0-1 Big South) and the Lady Flames (7-3-1, 3-0-1) is slated for 3:00 p.m. at Osbourne Stadium.

LAST TIME OUT: Radford exploded for four first half goals and cruised to a convincing 5-1 win over Longwood on Saturday (box score)… Freshman Jordan Lundin matched a school record with four assists, while senior Kara Wade tallied two goals and an assist, all in the first half… Red-shirt sophomore Hannah Thomas opened the scoring with her first collegiate goal and also notched an assist… Junior Asyia Mitchell and sophomore Hannah Duff also scored for the Highlanders… Making her first collegiate start, sophomore keeper Sydney Chervenic made four saves.

A LOOK AT YOUR HIGHLANDERS: RU is undefeated in its last six matches… Starting a season-long three game road swing on Wednesday… It is tied for the conference lead with 24 goals… Jordan Lundin became just the fourth Highlander and first since 2007 to record four assists in a game; She joins RU Hall of Famer, All-American and 1993 Hermann Trophy finalist Sue Williams, Suzanne Campbell and Brianna Kipper… Hannah Thomas' goal extended a streak of nine straight different players to score a goal dating back to App State victory… Thomas became the 13th different Highlander to notch a goal and the eighth to do so for the first time in their collegiate careers… Kara Wade's first goal against Longwood was her league-best fourth game-winning goal and moved her season total to seven, surpassing her previous-best goals in 2012.

BIG SOUTH: Radford is tied with Liberty for first place with 10 points, one ahead of Coastal Carolina… Improved to 20-1-5 in Big South regular season games since 2012 and 34-5-6 since 2010… RU is undefeated in its last 16 (13-0-3) against league opponents (includes two tournament games) at Cupp… The Highlanders' league road record is 13-2-2 since 2011.

THE LADY FLAMES: Liberty is undefeated over its last six matches (5-0-1), coming off a 2-0 shutout of Presbyterian Saturday… Like Radford, the only non-win on the conference slate is a 0-0 draw with Campbell… The Big South's top defensive unit has surrendered just seven goals and recorded seven shutouts… Alanna Dunkle, this week's Big South Player of the Week, has scored a team-best four goals, while four other Lady Flames have three… Brittany Aanderud is tops on the squad with six assists and 10 points… Holly Van Noord has been stellar in net with a league-best 0.64 GAA, .860 save percentage and six shutouts.

THE SERIES: This is the 28th meeting with Radford holding a 15-8-4 advantage in the series… The squads split last season with the Highlanders earning a 3-0 win at home (box score)… However, the Lady Flames defeated the Highlanders, 5-0 (box score), in the 2014 Big South Championship contest… RU is 3-0-1 in the last four regular season matchups… The team's played to a 0-0 draw (box score) the last time in Lynchburg, playing on the Liberty Lacrosse's field turf… In the last match at Osbourne Stadium, the Highlanders came out on top, 3-2 (box score) in 2011 and are 6-4-3 all-time in Lynchburg.
