KASIDY BECKEL SIGNS NLI WITH WOMEN’S GOLF

RADFORD, Va. – Radford women's golf head coach Jeff Beeler announced Wednesday the signing of Kasidy Beckel to a National Letter of Intent to join the Highlanders for the 2015-16 season.

"Kasidy has a lot of strengths in her golf game," Beeler mentioned. "She is very accurate and long off the tee. I am excited about her upside and know she will continue to improve because she's got a tremendous work ethic. On top of her athletic background, Kasidy is an outstanding student and individual who is everything we look for in a student-athlete."

A four-year star for Bluffton High School in Bluffton, S.C., Beckel guided the Bobcats to a state championship in 2011. She was a four-time all-region honoree, in addition to winning the region individual title in 2012 and 2013. Beckel shot her school's record for lowest individual round (67) and was medalist in an impressive 26 events.

Outside of high school, Beckel played heavily in AJGA, SCJGA and PKBGT events. She has recorded 10 top-20 showings out of 15 events recognized on the junior golf scoreboard.

Beckel will join seven returners to comprise the 2015-16 edition of the Radford women's golf team.

Welcome to #RUWG, Kasidy! She is a state champion from Bluffton HS in Bluffton, S.C.
