LIVE STATS | LIVE AUDIO

After a 7-1 homestand that included three extra-inning victories, the Radford baseball team begins a nine-game road swing Tuesday at William & Mary. First pitch in Williamsburg, Va. is set for 4:00 p.m. at Plumeri Park.

The Highlanders have won seven of their last eight games, while William & Mary is coming off a series win at Campbell and holds a 9-5 overall record. Radford stands at 9-7 on the season.

Tyler Swarmer (0-0, 1.93 ERA) is scheduled to get his second collegiate start vs. the Tribe. Swarmer on the season has worked 9.1 innings and given up just two runs on nine hits. He has walked two and struck out seven. The Highlanders won his only start of the season last week vs. Temple, but he only logged 3.2 innings and did not qualify for the victory on the mound.

Radford's offense woke up in the eight-game homestand to score 63 runs and bat .302 as a team. Patrick Marshall hit .545 during the stretch to raise his season average to .359 with a pair of home runs and a team-high 11 RBI. Alexander Lee continued his hot start to the season batting .519 in the homestand to raise his average to a team-high .453 with six doubles, a homer, and 10 runs plated.

The single game vs. the Tribe on Tuesday is the final tune up before the Highlanders open Big South play at VMI this weekend.
