HIGHLANDERS SUFFER 7-0 DEFEAT AT CHARLESTON SOUTHERN

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern, which was predicted to finish second in the Big South women's tennis preseason poll, handed Radford a 7-0 defeat Saturday afternoon at the Buccaneer Tennis Complex.

The Highlanders (1-6, 0-1 Big South) put up a fight at No. 2 doubles as the tandem of Meg Napolitano and Grace Sarver battled Alia Nour and Mi'Kola Cooper to a tiebreaker before falling, 8-7 (7-4).

After clinching the doubles point, CSU (6-3, 2-0 Big South) swept the singles portion of the match to earn its third sweep of the season. Napolitano forced the Buccaneers' Alexandra Walters to three sets before dropping a 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 decision on court three.

Radford heads further south to compete in the Sunshine State over spring break. The Highlanders are set to battle Robert Morris, Monday, at 11:30 a.m. in their first match of the week.
