WOMEN'S SOCCER TUSSLES WITH CAMPBELL ON THINK PINK NIGHT

Riding a four-game winning streak after winning its first two Big South games of the season, Radford women's soccer continues its three-game homestand on Wednesday, Oct. 1, hosting Campbell at 7:00 p.m. The contest between the Highlanders (5-4-1, 2-0-0 Big South), who sit atop the league standings after one week, and the Camels (2-5-2, 0-1-1) is the annual Think Pink Game as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month that begins on Wednesday.
 
LAST TIME OUT: Playing its second straight double overtime contest, Radford came out on top again with a 3-2 victory (box score) over Charleston Southern on Saturday… After falling behind 1-0 in the first half, freshman Tori Donahue and senior Jasmine Sampson gave the Highlanders a 2-1 lead with 15 minutes to play… However, CSU evened the contest in the 83rd minute setting up senior Kara Wade's golden-goal 2:04 into the second overtime… Junior Asyia Mitchell added two assists on Sampson's and Wade's goals.
 
A LOOK AT YOUR HIGHLANDERS: RU has won four straight and five of its last six matches… Kara Wade's game-winner was her third of the season and team-leading fifth overall goal… With Tori Donahue's first collegiate goal against CSU, 10 different Highlanders have found the back of the net this season… Five players have dished out two assists… Freshman Jordan Lundin, who assisted Donahue's goal, ranks second on the squad with three goals and eight points… With seven saves on Saturday, Katie McCormick moved her total to 54 on the season with a .818 save percentage and 1.20 GAA.
 
BIG SOUTH: Improved to 19-1-4 in Big South regular season games since 2012 and 33-5-5 since 2010… At Cupp, RU has won eight straight and is undefeated in its last 14 (12-0-2) against league opponents (includes two tournament games)… PC was the 26th in league regular season play since 2010… The win at PC also improved the Highlanders' regular season league road record to 13-2-2 since 2011… Since 2009, RU is 22-2-3 in regular season home games
 
THE CAMELS: Campbell is coming off a 0-1-1 league-opening week, which included a scoreless draw against the defending champions and preseason No. 1 Liberty… The Camels dropped their opener at UNC Asheville, 1-0… Keeper Alexis Conners, who stopped a season-high nine shots two earn the shutout against the Lady Flames, has split time with Samantha Lawson… Conners (421:08) has made 23 saves, posted a 1.50 GAA and .767 save percentage… Lawson (448:52) has a 1.00 GAA with 26 saves and a .839 save percentage… Payton Ormsby has two goals and five points.

THE SERIES: Radford has won four straight, which included a 2-0 road win last year (box score), and leads the all-time series, 7-2-0… All seven Highladner victories have been via the shutout… Campbell last defeated RU, 2-1 in Buies Creek on Oct. 29, 2011... RU is 4-0 at home, 3-0 at Cupp Stadium.
