RADFORD IN FIFTH THROUGH 36 HOLES AT BUCKNELL INVITATIONAL

ROUNDS 1-2

LEWISBURG, Pa. –
Led by three golfers in the Top-20, Radford women's golf shot rounds of 322 and 313 Saturday to sit in fifth place through 36 holes of the Bucknell Invitational at the par 70, 5,998-yard Bucknell University Golf Club.

The Highlanders' 635 is exactly what they carded last season, which is encouraging from head coach Jeff Beeler's point of view. "For us to come out with a young lineup and deal with the first-tournament nerves like we did, is something I am very pleased with. We have a lot of positives to take from today and will look to improve our score tomorrow."

Alexandra Austin and Meagan Board are tied for 12th in the individual standings at 156. Khushboo Thiagaraj, who birdied two out of the first three holes of her collegiate career, is tied for 18th at 158 (80-78). Olivia Jay is tied for 42nd at 165 (85-80), while Larissa Carter is tied for 59th at 172 (86-86).
In the team standings, Rutgers owns a five-shot advantage over Seton Hall. The Scarlet Knights fired a 601 (300-301) and have two of their golfers inside the Top-5, including the frontrunner, Emily Mills. She carded a 146 (70-76) and leads Alessandra Liu of William & Mary and Camilla Vik of Columbia by two shots. Sunday's final round is scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. RU will play with Columbia and Youngstown State, and is set to start on holes 4-6.
