RADFORD LINEUP
Five teams that finished inside the tournament's top-10 last year return, including runner-ups Cincinnati and Eastern Kentucky. Cleveland State, Marshall and Bowling Green also claimed a top-10 at the 2013 Joe Feaganes Invitational. The Highlanders will play with Bowling Green, Cincinnati and Marshall for Monday's opening 36 holes. The quartet is scheduled to tee off on holes 1-3.
THE COURSE
The Guyan Golf and Country Club was built in 1922 in the east section of Huntington. In addition to hosting the Joe Feaganes Invitational, the course has also held U.S. Amateur and U.S. Open qualifiers.
Guyan features medium-sized greens with just enough woods to make it interesting. This traditional-style course has tree-lined fairways built on rolling terrain, and water comes into play on one hole.
UP NEXT
On deck for the Highlanders is a trip to Manakin-Sabot, Va. for the Janney VCU Shootout. The two-day, 54-hole tournament will be held Sept. 22-23 at Hermitage Country Club.
