HIGHLANDERS TAKE SIXTH AT BUCKNELL INVITATIONAL

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Radford women's golf team shot a 319 in Sunday's final round to finish sixth out of 14 teams at the Bucknell Invitational hosted by the Bison at Bucknell University Golf Club (par 70, 5,998 yards).
 
A pair of Top-20 showings guided the Highlanders at their season-opening tournament. Leading the pack was senior Alexandra Austin, who tied for 12th at 233 (78-78-77). In her collegiate debut, Khushboo Thiagaraj tied for 14th at 234 (80-78-76).
 
Meagan Board, who was tied with Austin entering the day, finished at 242 (79-77-86) to tie for 28th. Olivia Jay logged a 250 (85-80-85) to tie for 47th, while Larissa Carter signed for a 253 (86-86-81) to conclude in 53rd.
On the strength of a tournament-best 293 in its final round, Seton Hall finished atop the team leaderboard at 899 (305-301-293). Six shots behind and finishing runner-up was overnight leader Rutgers (905). The Scarlet Knights' Emily Mills (220) did hold on for medalist honors, firing a 74 in the final round to edge Seton Hall's Erin McClure (222) by two strokes.
 
RU returns to action Sept. 14-16 at the William & Mary Invitational hosted by the Tribe. The 54-hole tournament will be contested at Kingsmill Resort's Plantation Course.
