BRISTOL, Tenn. – East Tennessee State rolled to a 7-0 triumph over Radford, Sunday morning, in nonconference women's tennis action at the Bristol Racquet and Fitness Club.

With wins on courts 1 and 2, the Buccaneers (2-0) captured the doubles point. They went on to win all six singles points to earn the shutout.

Taylor Newman competed well in her match at No. 2 singles. The senior lost 7-5 in the first set against Reginka Nychytailova, before being outlasted, 7-4, in a second-set tiebreaker.

Up next for the Highlanders (0-2) is a Feb. 20 match against Appalachian State. Action gets underway at 3 p.m. in Boone, N.C.
