WOMEN’S SOCCER PLAYS AT LONGWOOD TO FINISH ROAD SWING

The Radford women's soccer team plays the final contest of its three-match road swing on Wednesday as it travels to in-state foe Longwood. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in Farmville, Va.
Radford's (5-7, 0-4) last five setbacks have come by a total of just six goals, including three in overtime. In conference play, the Highlanders rank second in shots and tied for fourth in goals and points. With Hannah Duff and Asyia Mitchell finding the net in Sunday's game against Campbell, a total of six RU players now have multiple goals on the season, while eight have contributed at least four points. Mitchell has now attempted a career-best and team-leading 35 shots. Defensively, Katie McCormick shares the Big South lead with 17 saves in league play, while Jordan Lundin has played all 381 minutes in the four conference games.
Scouting Longwood: The Lancers (5-5-1, 1-1-1) will be seeing their first action since Sept. 30 when they played to a scoreless draw at Winthrop… Longwood opened league play with a 1-0 win at home against High Point before falling in overtime to Coastal Carolina in overtime… The Lancers have scored only 11 goals as a team, while allowing just 12, with six shutouts… Amanda Spencer, Olivia Colella and Amber Hodges lead the offense with two goals apiece… In goal, Maria Kirby has played every minute of the three conference games and has a 0.71 GAA for the season.
Series History: This will be the 13th meeting between the in-state foes and fifth in Big South play… Radford owns a 6-5-1 edge and is 3-0-1 since Longwood joined the conference, including a convincing 5-1 victory at home last year.
