WOMEN’S GOLF TIED FOR THIRD IN FLORIDA

ROUND 1

LAKE MARY, Fla. – Led by three of its golfers in the Top 20, the Radford women's golf team is tied for third following Tuesday's first round of the Seminole State Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole event is being held at the par 72, 6,001-yard Timacuan Golf Club.

Alexandra Austin and Khushboo Thiagaraj are tied for fourth and 13^th, respectively, to lead the Highlanders. Austin's 4-over-par 76 is four shots off the pace set by Sydney Legacy of tournament host Seminole State. Thiagaraj fired an 80 and is two shots outside the Top 10.

Larissa Carter is the third Highlander inside the Top 20. The freshmen carded an 81 on Tuesday. Meagan Board (84) and Olivia Jay (87) are tied for 33^rd and 46^th, respectively.

Appalachian State leads the 14-team field at 305, five shots ahead of Seminole State. RU and USC Upstate are tied for third at 321. Gardner-Webb is fifth at 323.

Wednesday's final round gets underway with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
