RADFORD, Va. ---- Radford faces off with ETSU for the third time this season on Wednesday, April 1, at the Betty Basler Field in Johnson City, Tenn. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 4 p.m.

"ETSU is a team that we are familiar with and match up well against," said head coach Maggie White. "We look forward to this midweek contest to continue to work on moving forward as a team."

The Highlanders' 8-4 win over Charleston Southern on March 28 marked the 200th Big South victory for Radford. The Red and White's first conference victory came back in 1992 against the Bucs. With a 5-2 victory in the series finale, Radford clinched its second of three league series. The Highlanders are 4-4 in conference play.

Radford entered last weekend averaging 4.02 runs per game. The Highlanders beat that mark in each of the three games against Charleston Southern, posting more than five runs in each of three games. Radford put up eight runs in the series-opening win, and followed it with six and five in Sunday's contests.

Mackenzie Blackwell knotted the game at two in the second inning of the series finale with a two-run homer over the left field wall. Blackwell's long ball made her just the third on the team to record a double, triple and home run this season.

Maggie Rowe moved into a tie for the team lead with her fourth home run of the season, cranking one just inside the left foul pole. Rowe led the Highlanders with four RBI on Sunday. Both of her hits on Sunday were for home runs.

Eight of Radford's 18 home runs this season have come with one runner on base. All three of the Highlanders homers against Charleston Southern last weekend were for two RBI.  Five of Radford's home runs this year have come in the first inning, more than any other inning. Radford's three home runs against Charleston Southern this past weekend came against each of the Bucs three pitchers that saw action in the series.

Entering last weekend with a batting average of .172, Summer Robinson had a team-high three hits for a .375 average. Robinson added two runs and two RBI to her stat line against the Bucs.

Becky Mantel had two hits in the first game against the Bucs, highlighted by a two-RBI double. Mantel reached base in each of the three games last weekend to push her streak of consecutive games reaching base to 11.

In Saturday's series opener, Taylor Asimakopoulos notched her third win of the year, pitching four innings and holding Charleston Southern to three hits and no earned runs. Kelsey Weddle was given the ball to start the day's second contest, throwing a complete game for her second win on the year. She held Charleston Southern to just five hits and two runs in seven innings of work. Both of Weddle's wins have come in complete game efforts.
