WOMEN’S TENNIS ADVANCES TO QUARTERFINALS WITH 4-0 WIN OVER LONGWOOD

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Radford punched its ticket to the quarterfinals of the 2015 Big South Women's Tennis Championship by defeating Longwood, 4-0, Wednesday at the Asheville Racquet Club. The Highlanders advance to play No. 2 seed Coastal Carolina on Thursday at noon.

Radford (7-11) prevailed on courts one and three to clinch the doubles point. Grace Sarver and Meg Napolitano dispatched Mason Thomas and Maria Coronel, 8-2, at the third flight. Next to finish was the tandem of Natalie Sayer and Gemma Valls, who upended Malin Allgurin and Paloma Alatorre, 8-3, at the top position.

RU continued its strong play in singles as Valls, Sayer and Napolitano captured the team victory for the Highlanders. Radford advanced to the quarterfinals for the fourth straight season with the win over the Lancers (9-14).
