GREENSBORO, N.C. – Participating as individuals, the Radford women's golf squad is being paced by Morgan Cox in 45th place following Monday's opening 36 holes at the Starmount Forest Fall Classic. Cox opened the day with a first round total of 86, before cutting five strokes off the final round of 18 holes for a day one total 167 at the Starmount Forest Country Club.  
 
Cox is coming off her best 54-hole round of her career at the season opening Golfweek Program Challenge Sept. 11-13. The junior tallied four birdies on the day, two coming in each round. Cox's second lowest round of the year moved her up five spots from the morning round.
 
After firing an 89 in the morning round, Oliva Jay stood in 57th place. Jay battled back, clipping seven strokes off her opening round, moving up five spots on behalf of an 81 on the second round of the classic.
 
Megan Board provided the strongest showing on the day for the Highlanders, cutting 16 strokes off her first round score of 94. The second 18 on the day saw Board birdie three holes on the front nine for a one-over par 36, eventually finishing with a seven-over 78 for the lowest round Radford on the day. Board stood in a tie for 62nd, moving up nine spots to 53rd after the 36 holes.
 
Radford will continue play on Tuesday with tee times starting at 9 a.m. shotgun start.
