RADFORD DROPS 4-1 MATCH TO APPALACHIAN STATE

Boone, N.C. – Natalie Sayer collected the lone win on the day as Radford dropped a 4-1 decision to Appalachian State in non-conference action, Saturday evening at the Yonahlossee Racquet Club.

The Mountaineers (2-3) picked up the first two double matches, before Tarrannum Handa and Grace Sarver took the No. 2 doubles, 8-6.

Sayer gave RU a win in No. 2 singles (6-8 (4-7), 6-2, 6-2) over Mackenzie LaSure. The win improves Sayer to 2-2 on the season in singles play.

The Highlanders (0-5) return to action on Feb. 27, opening up Big South play at Longwood.
