Drousile Dzeubou picked up two wins in the Elon Invitational Maroon bracket, defeating UNC Greensboro's Sarah Swiderski 7-6 (2), 6-2 on Friday and Emory's Michelle Satterfield 6-3, 6-2 on Saturday to advance to the semifinals.
Dzeubou fell to Suzanne Zenoni of Elon 6-3, 6-2 in the semifinal matchup.
After first round maroon bracket loss, Natalie Sayer rattled off two wins on Saturday to advance to the loser's bracket semifinals with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Taylor Bygrave of Appalachian State.
Meili Martin and Claire Nguyen collected opening round wins on Friday.
Martin defeated Emory's Elaine Varnoff, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 in the opening round of the Powell bracket. Martin fell to Sophia Adams of UNC Greensboro on Saturday 6-2, 6-0.
Nguyen defeated NC Central's Lauren Mills 6-1, 6-0 in the opening round of the Phoenix bracket. Nguyen fell to Lyndell Giffening of Richmond on Saturday in heartbreaking fashion 7-6 (4), 6-2.
In doubles action, Sayer and Dzeubou teamed up to collect wins on Friday and Saturday to advance to the Maroon Doubles championship flight. The duo defeated Elon's Alex Koniaev and Zenoni 8-6 on Saturday to advance to the finals.
Camilla Littlewood and Martin captured a first round 8-4 victory in the Powell Doubles bracket, before dropping a semifinal matchup on Saturday. The duo will play the Emory team of Goodman and Vernoff in the third place match on Sunday.
After falling in the first round of the Phoenix Doubles bracket, Karlie Pope and Nguyen will play in the fifth place match on Sunday.
Lilly Ellick teamed up with UNC Greensboro Blaine Boaz in the Phoenix Doubles bracket to earn a first round by, before dropping a semifinal match 8-6 to an Emory team of Perelman and Demeo. Ellick and Boaz will play for a third place finish in the bracket.
Sunday's action is slated for a 9 a.m. start.
